The Office of International Affairs (OIA) was established in response to the rapid internationalization of Izmir University of Economics. It is designed to coordinate university efforts to meet the long-term goals of the University’s Strategic Plan:

• to expand the international delivery of IUE courses and programs,
• to increase the number of IUE students abroad and of international students at IUE,
• to coordinate international application processes of incoming and outgoing students,
• to facilitate international scholarly and professional activities
• to promote cross-cultural awareness.

Inline with these objectives, Izmir University of Economics places great emphasis on international cooperation and has established relations with distinguished universities abroad in terms of student and faculty exchange, joint research and scientific studies. IUE aims to provide its students with the opportunity or study at partner universities for at least one academic semester.
